Volumes Mounted By Tuxera Ntfs Drive
- Jun 29, 2010 One volume named 'DHD4-NTFS' (320GB) is the second partition on the 2TB drive (see attached screen shot). There are no other NTFS volumes on my Mac except 2 VMWare Fusion Virtual Disks inside the Window XP virtual machine.
- Windows mountvol equivalent Enumerating mounted volumes GUID Hi, Being a proud user of your tremendously successful ntfs-3g, I'd like to ask you, please, how running ntfs-3g on Ubuntu 16.04 and taking several disk/partition devices in /dev I can enumerate all volume GUIDS and mount points of the volumes that Windows would mount if started from.
- Mount Point: Volume Name: Partition Type: FDiskpartitionscheme Bootable: Not bootable Media Type: Generic Protocol: USB SMART Status: Not Supported Total Size: 152.7 GB Free Space: 0.0 B Read Only: No Ejectable: Yes OS 9 Drivers: No.

Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1 at.... Hi I Have just bought an Apple MacBook MC207. I have an Ext HDD which was formatted on Vista and I was able to view files, but not able to write to the HDD. I researched and found Tuxera, and thought this would enable me to write to the HDD. After installation though I am now unable to even read the HDD let alone write to the HDD. I also researched the error on the website and followed the instructions on how to remove the program, but it hasn't worked. Here is the error: Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disck2s1 at /Volumes/New Volume because the following occured: CBCIO activated with: cp.fildeds=3 cp.blockSize=524288 cp.items=32 cp.mode=1 WARNING: ReadFully - I/O error while reading from file (5: 'Input/output error') WARNING: failed at: pread(3, 0x600000, 518656, 3220701184); WARNING: bytesRead=0 ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error Failed to read $AttrDef, unexpected length (-1 != 2560). _ntfs_volume_release(): Inode 4 still have 1 references. Failed to mount ' /dev/rdisk2s1': Inout/output error NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. etc etc If anyone can help then it would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance. Riksta

Could you please post the error message that you get when trying to uninstall? Or if you aren't getting any, then please describe what happens when you press the uninstall button in the preference pane. Many thanks in advance. Have you checked your drive with chkdsk in Windows, following the instructions in the FAQ? It seems that there's some inconsistency with the $AttrDef file, and hopefully it can be fixed by chkdsk. Regards, - Erik

Hi, After using my purchased Tuxera NTFS 2010.1 for a few weeks with it working perfectly, Tuxera NTFS just started displaying an error dialog about every 2 seconds. This is happening regardless whether the only NTFS volume is mounted or not and whether Windows XP is running in VMWare Fusion or not. The only way that I can stop the error dialogs was to uninstall Tuxera NTFS. See attached screen shot of Tuxera NTFS error dialog. My system is the following: MacPro 3.1,1 (2 x Xeon processors, 8 cores) OS: 10.6.2 Memory: 18GB Internal Disks: Bay 1 = 300GB, Bay 2 = 1TB, Bay 3 = 1TB, Bay 4 = 2TB One volume named 'DHD4-NTFS' (320GB) is the second partition on the 2TB drive (see attached screen shot). There are no other NTFS volumes on my Mac except 2 VMWare Fusion Virtual Disks inside the Window XP virtual machine. Thank you, Don There have been no recent software updates. Anyone know what might be happening?

Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1 at /Volumes/Untitled because the following problem occurred: CBCIO activated with: cp.fildes=3 cp.blockSize=524288 cp.items=32 cp.mode=1 cp.flushInterval=1000 $MFTMirr does not match $MFT (record 0). Failed to mount '/dev/rdisk2s1': Input/output error NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g. /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation for more details.

I have tried this with numerous drives all to no avail. Is there anyone out there with a solution other than running chkdsk with windows. I don't believe every drive I have would be problematic including the last one I checked which worked initially and 3 months later it doesn't even though I haven't used the drive since then!?!

Are you sure you are having the same problem? Many people think that it's the same problem just because the drive won't mount, but the exact wording of the error message does matter. If you are a Tuxera NTFS for Mac customer, then please feel free to contact our dedicated support email (see your activation email), where we'll be happy to troubleshoot your setup to find out what the problem is. Volumes Mounted By Tuxera Ntfs For Mac
Use volumes Estimated reading time: 16 minutes Volumes are the preferred mechanism for persisting data generated by and used by Docker containers. While bind mounts are dependent on the directory structure of the host machine, volumes are completely managed by Docker. Volumes have several advantages over bind mounts.
